HR teams in North America don't have the luxury of fragmented systems. Payroll needs to be accurate. Employee records need to stay current. And the tools that power day-to-day HR operations need to work together without creating more admin work in the process.

That's why we've been investing heavily in building an integration ecosystem that fits how US and Canadian organizations actually run.

Earlier this year, we launched our integration with ADP Workforce Now — one of the most widely used payroll systems in North America — and expanded our hiring workflows with Verified First for background screening. Today, we're continuing that momentum with three new integrations for organizations that run payroll and workforce management through a Professional Employer Organization.

Leapsome now integrates with ADP TotalSource, Deel, and TriNet.

Why PEO integrations matter for North American HR teams

PEOs are deeply embedded in how many US companies manage employment. They handle payroll processing, benefits administration, and compliance — which means the data flowing between your HRIS and your PEO has to be accurate and timely. A discrepancy in an employee record can mean a payroll error. A missed update after a role change can create a compliance gap.

The problem most HR teams face is that employee data lives in one place and gets manually re-entered somewhere else. That's where errors creep in — and where hours get lost.

These integrations remove that friction. Leapsome becomes the place where employee records are created and maintained, and that data flows automatically to where payroll gets processed.

What a PEO doesn't cover — and why that matters

PEOs are good at what they're built for: payroll execution, benefits administration, and compliance. But their portals aren't designed to run the rest of HR. Workflows can't be customized. Onboarding can't be automated. Reporting is limited to compliance data, not people insights.

That's the gap Leapsome fills. As your system of record, Leapsome gives HR teams ownership of their people data and the tools to actually do something with it — custom onboarding workflows, absence and time tracking, document management, performance reviews, engagement surveys, and unified analytics across the entire employee lifecycle. Things a PEO portal simply wasn't built to provide.

There's also a scalability argument. Most companies outgrow their PEO somewhere between 100 and 200 employees, when the per-employee cost starts to outweigh the convenience and the need for more flexibility becomes real. Leapsome is built to grow with you regardless of which payroll or PEO provider you use, so if you ever make that transition, your HRIS, your people data, and your processes stay intact.

For now, if you're running payroll through a PEO, the setup is straightforward: Leapsome is the source of truth for employee data, and these integrations make sure that data flows to your PEO automatically.

What's new

ADP TotalSource

ADP TotalSource is one of the largest PEOs in the US, supporting tens of thousands of small and mid-sized businesses with payroll, HR administration, and benefits.

Leapsome's integration with ADP TotalSource lives within our Payroll Integrations suite. Salary details, employee data, and payroll policies are managed directly in Leapsome — giving HR teams a single place to maintain accurate records. When it's time to run payroll, admins can export that data to ADP TotalSource with one click. ADP processes payroll, keeping everything connected in one platform.

The result: less time reconciling data across systems, fewer manual errors, and a cleaner payroll process from start to finish.

Deel

Deel has become a go-to solution for companies managing international and distributed workforces, handling payroll and compliance across dozens of countries.

The Leapsome–Deel integration creates a one-way sync from Leapsome to Deel, with Leapsome as the system of record for employee data. When a new hire is added or a profile is updated in Leapsome, that information automatically flows into Deel. Super Admins can set up the integration easily, and clear error handling means failed syncs are surfaced rather than silently missed.

For teams managing global workforces, this means employee records stay consistent without manual updates across platforms.

TriNet

TriNet serves thousands of small and medium-sized businesses across the US, offering PEO services with a focus on industry-specific HR support.

Like the Deel integration, the Leapsome–TriNet connection is a one-way sync with Leapsome as the source of truth. Employee data created and managed in Leapsome is automatically pushed to TriNet — covering new hires, profile changes, and updates across the employee lifecycle. Payroll policies live in TriNet, and payslips remain there too, so existing payroll workflows aren't disrupted.

The integration gives HR teams the confidence that their people data is always up to date in their PEO, without the manual effort.

One platform across HRIS, Talent, and AI

What makes these integrations more meaningful than point-to-point connections is the platform they sit within.

Leapsome brings together HRIS, Talent Suite, and AI in one place. The employee record you maintain for payroll is the same record that feeds into performance reviews, goals, engagement surveys, and compensation management — and it's the same data that powers Leapsome's AI agents. There are no silos between HR operations, people development, and intelligence. They're one system.

That last part matters more than it might seem. AI is only as useful as the data it works with. When employee data is fragmented across tools, AI insights are too. When it's connected and accurate in a single platform, AI can actually do useful work: coaching managers based on real team context, answering employee policy questions instantly, and flagging issues before they become problems. HR spends less time on admin and more time on the decisions that matter.

Every PEO integration we add to Leapsome strengthens that foundation. More accurate data flowing in from where payroll actually runs means better records, better insights, and AI that works with the full picture.

A growing ecosystem, built for the long term

These three integrations join a North American ecosystem that now includes ADP Workforce Now, Verified First, and a growing list of identity, productivity, and HR tools.

This isn't a one-time push. Building an integration ecosystem that fits how US and Canadian organizations operate is a core part of our investment in this market. More integrations are in development.
